R. Scott Shaw, Scott, LMT#1036, holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, from the University of Southern Mississippi; a BA in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi; and licensure as a licensed professional counselor.  Since 2005 Scott has been a Licensed Massage Therapist.  In addition to maintaining a busy private practice in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Scott has served as a Certified Massage Instructor (MS Board of Massage Therapy) at the Biloxi campus of Virginia College, and has a part-time counseling practice. 

Scott is a single father of an adolescent daughter.  He is a life-long resident of Gulfport.  

Scott became a massage therapist after years of being a massage client. He has benefitted greatly from the relaxation and relief of muscle tension through massage. Because of the benefits he has received from massage, he was drawn to this field, first as a hobby and later as a profession. 

He is available by appointment in the following massage modalities: 

Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian) Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Neuro-Muscular Therapy, Reflexology, and Sports Massage.
